Konkona favourite 5

The article on screenindia discribe Konkona 5 favourites.

Book: Suketu Mehta’s Maximum City: Bombay Lost And Found, which is "Not just a travel book, but an autopsy of a city that is morally dead”. Mehta’s take on the decadence of the island city appealed to Konkona and she recommends it as a”great read.”

Movie: Stanley Kubrick’s ‘87 release Full Metal Jacket, which she watched only recently makes it to her current hot list. The film is about ammunition used by infantry riflemen and the film portrays the urban Vietnam War fought by the U.S. Marines echoing the all-engulfing feeling of loss.
Past-time: Give her some time off and rest assured that she will dash up to meet her friends. She just loves to “bond” with buddies here and back home in Kolkata.

Travel: Konkona simply adores travelling to exotic places and the most exotic so far has been the Canary Islands. “I didn’t even know where it was until I got there,” she confesses. Canary Islands are an archipelago of seven islands of volcanic origin in the Atlantic Ocean. They are located off the north-western coast of Africa.

Award: Not the recent 15 Park Avenue win at the National Awards, but Konkona cherishes her first National award for Mr & Mrs Iyer as her biggest high, and she assures that she isn’t weary of receiving awards,”Are you nuts?? I have hardly won that many,” she shoots back.
