Even though this blog is about my favourite celebrity , I , Myanmar , cannot live without posting the current events in Myanmar. Actually this blog was checked by mostly Indian people and I hopefully post for this information:

Since the Myanmar government cannot mange the situation and they want to leads the revolution to the religious issue. Most importantly that the events happening in Myanmar are one of the most fair revolution to the government for their unfair democracy-less leadership of 45 years duration. For the raising for fuel other important survivals prices , the whole nation become awoken.

For today ,our people leads to our goal of Democracy Nation. And we all Myanmar people have to support and have to withstand the difficulties that occurred through the way. We have to fight for our country herself and for our new generations. So I hopefully thought that all Myanmar students and Myanmar people in Singapore help to the protesters as far as we could and don't neglects for our motherland!

Moreover some Indian people help yours relatives in Myanmar not to turns the religious war between Islam and Buddhism. We only concentrate on our motherland Myanmar and the monks protest is not connected with any other religious issue !!

My Disappointment for India's Official Entry to Oscar 2007 !

The India's Official Entry to Oscar is announced and I feel a bit disappointment for this announcement. I had an good expectation for this "Eklavya: The Royal Guard" before release and I shifted my return to Myanmar for this film at February this year. But I came back home with disappointment for this movie. I cannot appreciate the concept and haven't felt satisfaction for this movie.

But now this movie is chosen for this year Oscar ! There are a lots of good movie for this years release like Cahak De India! (unacceptable for unreal event of movie) , Gandhi, My Father ,Life in a Metro and Mani Ratnam hopefully "Guru". But this is really an unbelievable choice for me . I really feels that India Film Industry needs Oscar for their pride and honour and hopefully that real Oscar-worth film comes out from India Film Industry.

Moreover, Tabu is said to be nominated for Best Actress/Best Supporting Actress for this year. I hope she will be nominated for Best Supporting Actress which has more chances to win Oscar (this years has a lots of good female role in Hollywood :Cate Blanchett for "Golden Age" , "I am not there" and others). Anyway I urgently waiting for Oscar Nominations and ceremony for this years and wish India to be proud for this year.

Hi All,
There is a long gap of posting for the blog for my two-week trip to China !I miss this blog and some news of Konkona and some new trailer of "Laaaga Chunari.... " . Anyway I have great time there with my friends and achievement for our project. I am very fond of China because I could buys DVD classics in very cheap price. Even we can buy old Indain Movies in China ! Unbelievable! I bought three DVDs and 2 Audio CD. "It's Happened One Night" , "Waterloo Bridge" and Vivien Leigh version of "Anna Karenina". I hope I will enjoy all these Classics. But keep stay with this Blog and enjoy the new promos of "Kachchi Kaliyaan" .

Music Review of "Laaga Chunari Mein Daag"

Hi! I hope you all have been listerned and downloaded the songs of "Laaga Chunari...." . I this this album is very worth of listern for the music by "Shantanu Moitra" . So please read the review here :

• The album opens with the track Hum To Aise Hain that talks about the beauty of the city of Banaras where the film is set and how two sisters (Rani Mukherjee and Konkona Sen Sharma) relate to their hometown. As the voice of the sisters, while Shreya Ghoshal sounds her sweet self, Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals have an unusual sugar-coated feel to it – a pleasant change that she offers us occasionally from her regular item song singing. Swanand Kirkire is in his element when he writes some fresh and zesty lines on the Holy city and also croons a couple of lines with Pranab Biswas. The track acts as an introductory song to the film’s lead characters (the most standard setup used for the establishment of characters in the start of the film, ex: the very similar title sounding Hum To Bhai Jaise Hain from Yash Chopra’s Veer Zaara ).

• The second track Zara Gunguna Lein Chalo opens with some Spanish lines having an opera feel to it but soon gets into the conventional mode as the Hindi lines soak in. Babul Supriyo still has the Kumar Sanu hangover while Mahalaxmi Iyer goes in the Kavita Krishnamoorty mode. Shantanu Moitra attempts to blend some tap-dancing carnival notes to the desi tune. This is one of those numbers which might catch-up with you on repeated hearings.

• The movie derives its title from the memorable song ‘ Laaga Chunari Mein Daag ’ from Raj Kapoor’s 1963 film Dil Hi To Hai . While that’s nothing new, what’s novel is that the title track of the film is not a freshly worked song but is again a derivative from the same popular track without any change in the lyrics. The tune however is redone but does not lose the classical effect from the original. Manna Dey’s voice from the original is replaced by Shubha Mudgal’s (a perfect choice for classical rendition), who fluctuates her vocals to get the right classical shade. Actress Meeta Vashisht chips in, not for singing, but for mouthing a few lines intermittently in an understated tone. Interestingly this track is kind of a reunion for Shantanu Moitra and Shubha Mudgal who teamed up for the popular album ‘ Mann Ke Manjeere ’ in 2001 while Meeta Vashisht appeared in the video of the song.

• KK comes out of his Oo-aa-oo-o Oooo mode ( Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai, Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai ) with a rather husky rendition of Ek Teekhi Teekhi Si Ladki and Shreya Ghoshal gives him company. The song talks about the character of Kunal Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma and their affection towards each other. The track has a menthol-cool effect but doesn’t get out of the conventional domain for being a situational number. A hint of Hum To Aise Hain has been used in this track with a techno disc scratching effect which works well.

• One of the best and most underrated voices heard last year was that of Rekha Bharadwaj in Omkara’s ‘ Namak Ishk Ka ’. You get to hear that rare textured voice again in Ehi Thaiyaa Motiya – an undiluted mujra number. The musical arrangement with the use of tabla and sarangi sets a perfect ambience for a classical mujra number reminiscent of the royal performances of the past. The keen listener would even take notice of the continuous underlying use of ghungroo , faintly played in the background. But more than the sparse instrumentation its Rekha’s rustic voice that carries the song fascinatingly. The genre of the song is such that it might not find a flavour with today’s techno-savvy audience but that doesn’t take away its credit of being a classical masterpiece.

• The final track Kachchi Kailyan (My most favourite song) is basically a celebration dance number but also has a mix of folk, fusion, rapping and bhangra . Sonu Nigam, KK, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal – all go full-throated with their vivacious renditions. The pace and energy of the song is such that it’s instantly infectious and catches on with the listener pretty soon.

Yash Raj Films Productions can be regarded as the India's best production house in history for Indian theme, song and dance, family drama etc. But for this year 2007 YashRaj starts with under performance of their first two release "Ta Ra Rum Pum" and "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" but it can get back the successful with Shahrukh Khan Starred "Chake De India !"

But now future of YashRaj is better and brighter for their two future releases : "Laaga Chunari Mein Daag" and "Aaja Nachle" . Pradeep Sarkar, who proved himself as the finest director from Parineeta , make this woman-centric "Laaga Chunari...." . Pardeep Sarkar had planned this movie with Rani Mukherji , his favourite Vidya Balan and Shabana Azmi at first . (in early interviews of Vidya Balan) . But for Vidya full-dated calendar , Sarkar choose Konkona for this role .

But now the news states that the keen interest is sparkling chemistry (competition)between the 'Rani' of Bollywood and the National Award winner Konkona Sen Sharma . Oh Yes , me too. Rani Mukherji is current Queen of BY. But for many critics already bend for Konkona as the finest actress in India Film Industry. So we have to watch this movie for their interesting comparable performances. Moreover, there is another powerhouse lady , Jayaji (even I don't know why Shabanaji replace Jayaji) .I hopefully think that this film do very well in both commercial and critical.

But this is not enough for interesting. In November there is another interesting release "Aaja Nachle" : for the leading ladies Konkona and Madhuri ! But it is too early for this film and we should excited first for Rani-Konkona-Jaya starred "Laaga Chunari......" !

In the film she played the girl named Chutki who is a spunky spirited and crazy young girl, with eyes that sparkle with mischief. Playing pranks on her hapless victims, teasing her sister Badki, and harassing her parents are her favourite pastimes, but she also loves her family with a fierce passion. Innocent and protected from the harsh circumstances of her family by Badki and their mother, she revels in their love. Konkona is Fabulous :Kunal Kapoor

Kunal Kapoor , Bollywood new sex-symbol , and Konkona is now making two YashRaj Films. Recently States that Kunal is wondering for his co-star Konkona acting ! There is a interview with Kunal -
Even Konkona says about her co-star -

"And I really like Kunal Kapoor. We've done two back-to-back Yash Raj Films Aaja Nachle after Laaga Chunari..' I'm very comfortable with him. Laaga Chunari... is a very vibrant film, and a terrific film to shoot because it took us to Varanasi, Switzerland and Mumbai."

Anyway both films are awaited with lots of excitement ."Lagaa Chuneri...." will hit cinemas next month and "Aaja Nachle" be end of November.

Konkona have to dance with Madhuri !

We all know Madhuri Dixit is the dancing queen of Bollywood.Her dance numbers are already popular and her films became hits ready. Her came back film "Aaja Nachle" is about the stage actress who is getting age and she have to encounter the affair with her stage-manager (ex-lover) and young actress . By the director's talk , Konkona plays the very important role in this film along with Akshay Khanna and Kunal Kapoor.

But recent reports state that Konkona have to dance with the nimble-footed Madhuri Dixit ! Oh God ! They says that Konkona nearly run away for this condition.

But now Konkona says with a laugh -

"It was scary, Sharing acting space with Madhuri didn't make me that nervous. I knew I could manage to hold my own in that department. But one has to be totally crazy to even attempt to match dance steps with Madhuri. I thought I'd faint when I had to dance with her. Fortunantely our choreograpaher Vaibhavi Merchant gave me steps that didn't make me look foolish in front of Madhuri. In fact the film requires unequal dancing between Madhuri and the rest of us in the cast. Jaan bachi!"

Oh what's a wonderful answer with self confidence and challenge . Even Madhuriji states that Konkona is today most natural actress in "Koffee with Karan" , Konkona try her dancing lessons and can essay the role of stage actress .

"But yes, Aaja Nachle is very special…Madhuri Dixit is amazing! We're having such a ball. We hang around together even when we aren't shooting. Madhuri is such a big star. But she's so chilled. So fun-loving and totally unaffected."

Konkona states about her high-profile co-star like that. I am waiting forward this movie again for the big come-back of Madhuri as well as another (hopefully) outstanding performance form my favourite Konkona !

"My daughter, my pride" : Aparna Sen

I love Aparna Sen as the awarding winning director , acclaimed actress and as the mother of Konkona too. One thing we can say is that she is a very brilliant director with high drama and powerful emotion. Her film "15, Park Avenue" won the "National Award for English Film" and she and Konkona has been honoured with the "Zee Astitva Award" for their outstanding contribution to cinema.
There was a story when Konkona Sen Sharma came into the industry as an actress, many wondered how she would live in the long shadow of her actor-director mother Aparna Sen. And whether she made it into films because of her mother. But she has put that doubt at rest permanently by proving again and again with her acclaimed films that she is an actor with her own style.
Right now mom Aparna is making a film named "Japanese Wife" without Konkona but with Raima Sen to pair opposite Rahul Bose. But Aparna confirmed that she will make "Jewellery Box" after this film with Konkona again. Firstly, I heard that she will not make this one and just make "Japanese Wife".
"Jewellery Box" , which is a comedy , is her first feature film in Hindi and it's about three generations of women and their changing attitudes viewed through a box of jewels. This film will also star Govinda, Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan.

In DNA interview , Aparna comments on Konkona -

"She's honest, instinctive and innovative. She is a dream to work with. And she's also free to say 'no' to me.We're very close. Our sense of aesthetics, sensibilities and values are the same. Her voice, body language and expressions are similar to mine."

Anyway I love both Konkona and Aparna for their brilliant films and performance.Even Konkona states that her mother's film "Japanese Wife" is a wonderful one and a very beautiful script. So I am looking forward this film .Actually Raima is also a talented actress . But now I have great hope on Aparna "Jewellery Box" which we can expected in late 2008 .

Anyway Konkona is now making the successful transition from offbeat films to commercial films. She says that while she continues to do offbeat cinema which mainly targets festival audiences, she is simultaneously doing mainstream cinema as well which gets her instant appreciation and recognition. Go on Konkona !
